How to Get Your CPS Credits
Lane Credits
After you complete your course:
- We will email you a certificate of completion
- Complete the course evaluation in your CPS Learning Hub account — we will then mark your status as complete
- When filling out your Lane Credit application, list the class title and class code from your course page. You do not need an official transcript.
Clock Hours / CPDUs
After you complete your course:
- We will email you a certificate of completion
- Your Certificate of Completion is required when submitting your Clock Hours to ISBE
University Credits
- If you didn't purchase university credits when you successfully completed, university credits may be requested by emailing support@cecreditsonline.org
- CE Credits Online will forward the necessary documentation to the university of your choice for an official transcript

- You must complete both CE Credits Online enrollment and CPS Learning Hub registration
- Each course has a unique class code — find it listed on the course page
- The course evaluation in CPS Learning Hub must be completed to receive Lane Credit
- Your Certificate of Completion is required for Clock Hour / CPDU submission to ISBE
- You have 180 days (about 6 months) from purchase to complete your course

Do I need to register in CPS Learning Hub before purchasing my course?
No. You can purchase your course through CE Credits Online first and register in CPS Learning Hub afterward. Just make sure to register before you complete your course so your completion is recorded correctly.
Where do I find the class code for my course?
The class code for each course is listed in the class codes table on this page. You'll enter it in the CPS Learning Hub when registering your course.
Do I need an official transcript for Lane Credits?
No. For Lane Credits, you only need the class title and class code from your course page. An official transcript is not required.
What do I need for Clock Hour / CPDU submission?
You'll need the Certificate of Completion we email you after finishing your course. Submit it to ISBE for Clock Hour / CPDU credit.
Can I earn both Lane Credits and Clock Hours from the same course?
Yes. The same course can count toward Lane Credits and Clock Hours / CPDUs depending on how you apply for credit.
How do I request university credits?
Email support@cecreditsonline.org after completing your course. We will forward the necessary documentation to the university of your choice.
How to Enroll
CPS courses require registration in two places — CE Credits Online and the CPS Learning Hub. Both steps are required to receive credit.
Step 1: Register in CPS Learning Hub
- Go to the CPS Learning Hub and sign in
- Find your course using the class code from the class codes table above
- Register for the course in CPS Learning Hub
Step 2: Purchase Through CE Credits Online
- Go to our Chicago Public Schools courses page
- Add your course to cart and check out
- You will be asked to log in or create an account
- If you have a discount code, enter it at the end of checkout
- Upon purchase you will receive an email receipt and can log in to your course at eClassroom Sign in
